A Pharmacist with over 30 years of experience, Sara is a Fellow (FASHP) in, as well as Past President of, ASHP. She is widely recognized throughout Pharmacy for her effective management style.

BIOGRAPHY: Sara J. White, FASHP, is Stanford Hospital and Clinics Director of Pharmacy, and Clinical Professor-UCSF School of Pharmacy. She was Associate Director of Pharmacy and Professor at the University of Kansas Medical Center from 1972-1992.

Sara completed a BS in Pharmacy from Oregon State University, MS from Ohio State University and an ASHP accredited Residency at the Ohio State University Hospitals and Clinics.

She has served as ASHP president, 1996-1997 and in numerous other elected positions in ASHP such as Chair, HOD, Board Member, etc. Sara has served as an APhA HOD delegate member and on policy recommending Committees. She has spoken and published widely.

Indeed, throughout the profession, Sara is known as a mentor of mentors!
