BIOGRAPHY: Andy Roberts is currently a New Business Transition Specialist for McKesson Medication Management, with responsibilities for evaluating pharmacy department operational, clinical, and financial activities to identify and quantify opportunities to enhance performance in acute care hospitals.

Andy has been with MedManagement for more than 10 years and has held various Director and management positions including Director of Professional Recruitment. His previous experience spans more than 30 years. Andy is licensed in 9 states as a registered pharmacist.

He received his BS in Pharmacy from Purdue University and completed Executive Core Management Training at the University of Evansville. Andy is a long standing member of ASHP and IPA. He is currently a member of the IPA's Professional and Organizational Affairs Council and he has been active in ASHP as a presenter, moderator and recruiter.

His pharmacy practice goals are the continuation and promotion of pharmacists roles in determining patient outcomes through clinical pharmacy activities as well as recognition and financial reimbursement by payers. Additional emphasis would include enhancing programs directed at increasing the number of pharmacy school graduates and addressing the national pharmacist shortages.
